'The 13th Heron' (2020)
What’s the secret of herons? – They always come back.
This album is a metaphorical journey set off from home, in search of the place to be. From boat on the sea to land, crossing the atmosphere; to the moon, the sun, and then further into space. Will herons come back this time?
What’s the secret of the 13th? – That was a lunar mission that didn’t land on the moon as planned, it looped around and returned home instead.
The music on “13th Heron” is as eclectic as the story behind and the lyrics are sprawling. The main attitude behind the compositions and performance of YenTing and Mateusz is jazz, but the mood and style of the tunes goes from hip-hop and neo soul, through folk, rock, modern brazilian and world music, all the way to classical, serialism and, to top it all off, fusion of all the abovementioned genres.
Won a prize!
On 6 november 2021 YenTing Lo and I have won the GOLD INDIE MUZIEK AWARDS in Taiwan (for the Best Jazz Album of 2021)! The prize is often named "The Taiwanese Grammy". The album got nominated in two categories: Best Jazz Album and Best Jazz Tune ('Engraved In The Moon').

'Clouds' (2021)
“Clouds” (2021) is a dreamy collaboration between Mateusz and vocalist Leah Kline, blending the classic charm of 50s jazz with the warm, introspective feel of folk. The EP features three songs that transport listeners to a place where reality feels a little more fluid. Drawing inspiration from the sounds of Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass, the duo creates an atmospheric yet intimate vibe that feels like floating above everyday life. One track even reimagines Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now”, bringing her emotional storytelling into the world of jazz. The theme of “Clouds” is about the otherworldly and the sublime, inviting listeners to drift through the skies and explore spaces beyond our usual perception. Each song feels like a journey into the unknown, with a sense of wonder and calm.

'Jaar Na Jaar - Pulawski Studio Sessions, vol. 1' (2024)
A musical journey through the year, created by guitarist/composer Mateusz Pulawski. The album consists of 13 instrumental jazz tracks, with twelve songs named after the months of the year, and a 13th track, “Nummer 13”, giving a playful nod to the concept of the 13th-month salary. The music was recorded over two years during bi-weekly spontaneous sessions at Pulawski’s studio, with each session featuring different musicians and combinations of instruments. This variety brings a fresh sound to each track, reflecting the changing moods and energy of the project.
The album mixes traditional jazz instruments like guitar, double bass, saxophone, piano, and drums, with some more electric flavors including bass, hammond organ, and even three electric guitars on tracks like “Juli-zonneschijn” and “September”. The tunes range from jazz ballads to funky grooves and rock-influenced fusion. “Jaar Na Jaar” offers a fun and dynamic ride through the year, capturing the spirit of each month through a mix of musical styles and talented musicians.

'Love Songs - Pulawski Studio Sessions, vol. 2' EP (2024)
A heartfelt exploration of love in all its forms, brought to life by vocalist Anne Chris and guitarist/producer Mateusz Pulawski. The EP, recorded in a quintet setting, features the talented Iman Spaargaren on saxophone and bass clarinet, Rico de Jeer on double bass and bass guitar, and Philip ten Bosch on drums. Over the course of one year, the band recorded six songs, each capturing a different aspect of love, from longing and passion to release and acceptance.
The repertoire includes timeless jazz standards, such as “The Look Of Love” and “Lush Life”, as well as the pop classic “Feel Like Making Love”. There’s also an original piece by Anne Chris, “Let Things Go”, which adds a personal touch to the mix. The recording sessions took place at Pulawski's studio, creating an intimate and spontaneous atmosphere where the musicians could explore the emotional depth of each track. “Love Songs - Pulawski Studio Sessions, Vol. 2” is a collection of beautiful melodies and expressive performances that celebrate love in all its many faces.

'The Rap Guitar' EP (2025)
The latest EP from guitarist, producer and composer Mateusz Pulawski. This collection of four fresh beats blends the sound of 90’s/00’s boom-bap hip-hop with bebop jazz, creating a unique hybrid genre that Pulawski refers to as “bebop hip-hop”. The EP was born out of a strong creative impulse that Pulawski felt the autumn before, as he rediscovered his love for the sounds of his youth (thus the boom-bap), along with a new passion for bebop guitar lines he had studied many years back. Inspired by this mix Pulawski crafted the beats entirely from scratch in just one week. With his newly acquired dream jazz guitar, the L-5 CES, the bebop lines flowed effortlessly, giving the beats exactly the flair they needed.
This EP stands as a playful exploration of how these two distinct genres — hip-hop and jazz — can come together, offering listeners a fresh and energetic listening experience. Whether it's the driving rhythms of boom-bap or the improvisational flow of bebop, “The Rap Guitar” brings them together in a surprising, engaging way. Curious to hear more?
